A.O.
When I was a student, I belonged to a futsal club. It was a circle that didn't go well, like there were 80 people, but only 5 people came to practice (laughs). From that experience, I wanted to do a job that supports organizations and companies. Funding is the foundation of a company. That's what got me started in the financial industry.

T.G.
A bank or something?

A.O.
The bank... I didn't really think about it (laughs). There are branches all over Japan, and it seemed like it would be difficult to move.

A.B.
I also want to work in the financial industry. In particular, I focused on leasing. Products that can be leased include computers, aircraft, and buildings. I thought it would be fun to be able to contribute to society with something tangible even though it's finance, and to be involved in a wide range of industries.

T.N.
In my case, I didn't have a solid idea of what I wanted to do like the two of us did. However, I wanted to make use of what I learned at university and do a global job. I had a relative who worked in the United States, and I admired it. I looked at various industries with a focus on being global, such as finance, manufacturers, and infrastructure, and gradually narrowed down the scope.

T.G.
Having experienced being a tutor at a cram school when I was a student, I began to think, "I want to create a Japan where young people can work happily." At first, I was considering the human resources industry and the IT industry, which is involved in personnel systems.

A.O.
Why did you decide to move to NTT/TC Lease?

T.G.
A.O.さん、A.B.

A.B.
After all, the “NTT” brand is strong. I also thought that because we are a global telecommunications group, we would be able to do work that would have an impact not only in Japan, but also overseas. In fact, we often work together as a group.

T.G.
Actually, I didn't know that NTT has various group companies... Until the very end of my job hunting, I thought I was working for a company called NTT (laughs).

Question_02

A.O.
It is a leasing business for private companies. We target a wide variety of companies in terms of genre and scale, and there are no restrictions on what we can propose. We can handle everything from communication equipment costing tens of thousands of yen to properties costing tens of billions of yen. It is attractive to acquire a wide range of industry knowledge, not limited to finance. Acquisition of new customers is also an important role. Based on "how I want to contribute to the world", I decide the target industry and approach it.

T.N.
For example, what industry?

A.O.
In my case "Sleep Tech". A rapidly growing market that responds to the need to improve the quality of sleep with technology. It's an unprecedented industry, so we start by making a phone call and asking, "Do you have any leasing needs?" It's a lot of fumbling, but there are places that lead to an appointment with the president.

T.G.

A.B.
As the department name "NTT Sales Department" suggests, I propose leasing and financing to NTT Group companies. I'm still in the OJT period, but there are more and more opportunities for me to take the initiative in sales.

T.N.
By group companies, do you mean, for example, "proposing to NTT DoCoMo"?

A.B.
yes. The NTT Group has more than 900 companies, and although it is a little confusing, there are many cases where NTT TC Leasing and Group Company A work together to make proposals to another Group Company B. I think it's a great pleasure to be involved in a large-value lease project, such as an overseas data center. Originally it was just one division, but recently it has been promoted as a division, and it is also an area where power is being put into it.

A.O.
If it's a group, it's easier to ask for suggestions.

A.B.
Since it's just a business, the contents of the proposal are strictly checked (laughs).

T.N.
I am involved in supporting global sales. The team I belong to mainly manages the "SPC" that is established when leasing aircraft and ships.

A.O.
What is SPC?

T.N.
A “special purpose company”. For example, in the case of aircraft, an SPC is established for each project, the money is collected there, and the aircraft is purchased and leased. For a 10 billion yen aircraft, NTT TC Lease is 7.5 billion yen and investors are 2.5 billion yen. About 90% of our leasing partners are overseas airlines. Our job is to manage the SPC from aspects such as accounting, taxation, and legal affairs.

T.G.
It's a global job, just as I wanted.

T.N.
yes. I was happy to be assigned as I wanted. However, since it is a highly specialized field, it is still a support job for sales representatives. According to my seniors, it's common to gain experience for two to three years, and then become a sales representative, so you have to do your best.

Question_03

A.O.
I had never even heard the word leasing before, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up. But when I think about it, everyone in the same period was the same, and I was carefully instructed through training and practical work, so I didn't have to worry about that. On the contrary, what surprised me after joining the company was the wide range of work. I had a vague image of leasing sales as "doing what was decided properly", but in reality it's the opposite. There are many things that you have to take action on your own and many things that you have to learn. However, it's more fun than hard work.

A.B.

T.N.
It's good that I was assigned to a global business as I wanted, but I couldn't speak English in the first place (laughs). However, as far as the work I am currently working on is concerned, English is not necessarily a must, so there was no problem. But it's still something you'll have to master eventually. My boss teaches me how to read contracts on a regular basis, and in the future, I would like to improve my English skills by taking advantage of external training.

T.G.
I'm a bit of a rare case, but... I got married right after I joined the company.

A.O.
It was early, wasn't it?

T.G.
Since I hadn't even learned to work yet, I was really worried about how the people around me would react. But I was happy that they celebrated me so warmly. I received a wedding gift, and he taught me the tricks of starting a new life and the secrets of housework. The company also gave me a congratulatory money, which I used on my honeymoon (laughs).

Question_04

T.N.
This is just my own personal assumption, but I thought that the NTT Group seemed to have a lot of hard-working people.

A.B.
(laughs) Especially for people who are older, the image is dry and difficult to relate to.

T.N.
But in reality, they are all friendly people. This was a good gap.

A.B.
oh yeah. When I was in trouble, he always called out to me, and I was able to have a lively conversation about my hobbies and private life. Also, I felt it during my job hunting, but there are many people who talk happily about their work.

A.O.
yes. From the time of the interview, he consistently tries to ease my tension. In my case, everything was online until the final interview, but I could feel the goodness of the people through the screen.

T.G.
The goodness of the people, of course, and the welfare benefits are also attractive. First, support for obtaining qualifications. There are skill development support measures once every six months and correspondence courses that can be taken every month, so you can learn more and more when you want to. After all, it is easy to take time off. I connected Saturdays and Sundays with summer vacation to make it a 9-day holiday and used it for my honeymoon (laughs).

A.O.
I took 11 consecutive holidays.

A.B.
During that vacation, you went to see your classmate in Hokkaido. I've only seen her face online.

A.O.
As expected, I wondered what the 11-day weekend would be like, so I asked my senpai, and he said, "Okay! Take a break!"

T.N.
I also have 10 consecutive holidays. Go home, play golf, go to a drinking party, and relax at home.

A.O.
It may be the most luxurious.

T.N.
Also, rented company housing is the best. In my case, it's the city center and it's a new building. Of course, there is some luck here.

T.G.
The “Benefit Station” of welfare services is also good. A system where you can choose what you want to use from among many menus. I used to go to the gym with it.

A.O.
Jim, I signed up too. There are hotels that can be used for travel, so I'm keeping an eye on them for the time being.

Question_05

A.O.
I would like to gain various experiences in the field of corporate sales that I am in charge of. In this world full of new jobs and new things, I would like to discover new demand for leasing and make it a success as a project myself. I think it would be fun if I could support a company that moves the world through that.

T.G.
I would like to experience general leasing as well as tie-up leasing with special agents and grow into a multiplayer. First of all, I would like to improve my basic skills as a member of society and understand the basics of leasing in my current work. Next, I would like to connect users and dealers with my own hands, and do work that will have a greater impact on Japan. . I am also interested in working in personnel affairs and gathering ambitious people to build a stronger company.

T.N.
I would like to accumulate knowledge and experience in my current department, and in the future I would like to be involved in a large project as a sales person. Also, I would like to focus on studying languages and eventually work overseas.

A.B.
It may sound abstract, but I would like to be involved in a large-scale project involving as many NTT Group companies as possible. In addition, the NTT Group is expanding not only in Japan but also overseas. By collaborating with overseas NTT Group companies, NTT TC Lease's International Business Department, and our NTT sales department, I would like to be involved in a project that will exert an international influence someday.
